Notre Dame earned their first win of the season on Saturday in a 24-17 victory over Cal. The Irish defense racked up six sacks and had multiple turnovers wiped off the board by penalty or replay, while the offense showed a pulse but still looked like it was searching for answers and an identity. Still, the Irish delivered the first win of the Marcus Freeman era.
