With Kentucky upsetting Creighton in second round NIT, Notre Dame will get a third NIT game at the Joyce Center this Wednesday night. Tipoff for the game is 7:00 and the game will be televised on ESPN2.
Attendance has been extremely low for the first two rounds with just a little over 8,000 people turning out for the first two rounds combined. According to the release from the University announcing ticket sales for the game, the first 1,000 students from Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s, and/or Holy Cross will gain free admission with valid ID.
The first 1,000 full-time Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s and Holy Cross students with valid ID are FREE on gameday. Additional student tickets are $5 each. Distribution will begin at 5:30 pm on gameday at Gate 3 of the Joyce Center. One ticket per eligible student.
I still say Swarbrick should hire Jackie Moon to wrestle a bear at half time to drum up some attendance for Wednesday, but I digress.
Will a 3rd round game with a traditional powerhouse like Kentucky be enough to get some fans in the seats Wednesday?

Bleed/Heinekin,
Last night Mike Brey said: “Kentucky has tall and athletic guys, they represent the same problem for us as we faced in the Big East.”
So, how are we going to beat these guys?
Ill be there. I hate UK.
