Easter Heathman passes at age 90
Easter Heatman, caretaker of the Knute Rockne crash site in Kansas, passed away tuesday night at the age of 90. Easter witnessed the Rockne plane crash as a teenager in 1931, and for the past 20 years, had given private tours to those interested in visiting the crash site. In 2006, he was given an honorary monogram for his work, at the pep rally prior to the Penn State game. Easter was in the process of trying to open a Rockne Museum in Cottonwood Falls. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time.
