Hey Tiller, Get Better… Not Bitter

There was an interesting tid bit from Joe Tiller in today’s South Bend Tribune.  Purdue’s head coach was lamenting about two of their losses this year – one of them being their loss two weeks ago to Notre Dame.  Apparently Joe thinks that if Purdue were to play Notre Dame again, but at Ross Ade Stadium instead of Notre Dame Stadium, it would be a much different game.

“I think we could have won two games that we haven’t won,” Tiller said. “The Oregon game; and although it would have been tough to do, because Notre Dame is a much different team away from home than they are at home, we could have played better there, particularly if we would have delivered in the red zone (inside the Irish 20-yard line) offensively. That would have had a dramatic impact on the way we played defensively.

“The Notre Dame game, if we would have played them here, it would have been a different game.”

Ummmm Joe?  Your team lost by 17 and could have lost by a lot more if Notre Dame wouldn’t have coasted through the fourth quarter.  Your defense had no answer for anything the Irish offense threw at it and allowed 200+ yards rushing to a team struggling to run the football this year.  Here’s an idea though, instead of complaining about having to play Notre Dame on the road two weeks after you lost, how about you spend your time making your time better?  I realize you are on the way out and already have three losses this year and will likely notch #4 this weekend, but come on now.

Something tells me that Joe is a little bitter about losing his last game against Notre Dame in the manner in which they did.

  1. I Love all our ND Haters, they are now whinning in stupendous proportions. Gee, we must be winning.

Didn’t you SOFTIES here about our SOFT schedule?

Hmmmmm……..did you have us chalked off as a early win after last year did you?

Furthermore,in light of national self pity party (we won’t mention any names), maybe we can have the Red Cross visit your campus to distribute crying towels and a year’s supply of “depends.”

Seems fair, but COD, it’s the thought that counts.
