EJ Banks Notre Dame career won’t be getting started off on the right foot when he enrolls early next month. According to the South Bend Tribune, Banks suffered an ACL injury last month and will likely miss Spring Practice.
Notre Dame recruit E.J. Banks, who will enroll at Notre Dame next month, will likely miss spring practice after undergoing surgery last month for a torn ACL in his right knee.
Banks, a senior at Montour High in McKees Rocks, Pa., was thrown into the bench on a late hit in a playoff game. He underwent surgery around Thanksgiving.
“He probably won’t be ready for spring practice,” Lou Cerro, Banks’ high school coach, said. “He’s probably ahead of schedule. I don’t think he’ll play, but who knows.”
Banks is one of three early enrollment recruits for Notre Dame this year along with Zeke Motta and Tyler Stockton. While it’s defintiely disappointing that Banks won’t be taking part in Spring Practice, the birght side is that Banks will at least be on campus and have access to the Notre Dame team doctors and training staff while he rehabilitates his injury.
Is it just me or does it seam like we lead the country in recruit injuries every year?
Every recruit we get is always injured
