- 5 Things I Didn’t Like: Miami ’12
It was tough to find five things I didn’t like about a 38 rout of Miami – something I honestly never thought possible heading into the season – but after some careful consideration, here is this week’s edition of 5 Things I Didn’t Like. No turnovers or sacks for the first time It’s hard to … - 5 Things I Liked: Miami ’12
There was a whole lot to like in Notre Dame’s complete and thorough beating of Miami on Saturday night, but here are five things that stood out to me in a night of strong performances for the Irish. Beside the ghosts of Dick Butkus, Sweetness Payton and Dave Duerson, still a Notre Dame man! If I had told you three years ago after Tulsa beat Notre Dame that a Brian Kelly coached team would run for almost 400 yards, possess the ball for almost 40 minutes, and hold Miami to 3 points in a 41-3 rout to improve to 5-0 on the season you probably would have looked at…
It’s nice to know that teams now need to spend all week planning some way to score points on our defense. Stanford will be playing the best defense it will play all year. Three games without giving up a touchdown!!
Go ND..
stanford put up 54 pts
Redshirt junior quarterback Josh Nunes became the second Stanford player in 2012 to be named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, earning the distinction Monday after he brought the No. 17 Cardinal back from a two-touchdown deficit in the fourth quarter of its win against Arizona.
Stanford (4-1, 2-1 Pac-12) would not have bounced back from its sole loss last week without Nunes. Just nine days after he and the rest of the Cardinal offense floundered against Washington, not scoring a touchdown, it put up 54 against the Wildcats (3-3, 0-3).
No easy win this last Saterday for Cardinals.
Thank you Frank for the new comprehensive format. I am really enjoying it and I know it’s a lot of hard work. Without question, best place to get high quality ND football information.
Here come the Irish!
