Notre Dame’s hotel for the Cotton Bowl rolled out some special treatment for the Irish. They redid the floor of their lobby for Notre Dame’s stay this week in the Dallas/Fort Worth area replacing tiles with blue and gold ones that feature the name of every single member of the roster – walkons included. Each player got their own unique tile. Here’s a quick video from the Notre Dame Equipment team.

Pretty cool move by the hotel and something I had not seen a hotel do for a visiting bowl team before. I’m sure Notre Dame might have had a little to do with this, but the hotel still let their lobby floor be altered for Notre Dame’s stay.
Even Kirk Herbstrit was impressed.
Wow!!
Great idea and very classy.
Well done @NDFootball https://t.co/t6SOJApN8s— Kirk Herbstreit (@KirkHerbstreit) December 23, 2018
Someone on Twitter asked if this was the Gaylord Resort & I believe alluded it to being a tradition they do every year but I don’t know that for a fact, just putting it out there in case someone local can confirm. I was just hoping the players would get to keep their own tile afterwards as a cold souvenir although I doubt it with NCAA regulations. Definitely a neat thing, thanks for writing it up for us to enjoy!
I LOVE MY NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL TEAM . LETS WIN IT ALL THIS YEAR.

Texas hospitality, now that is the way you should treat your guests. Awesome.
But I thought Herbie had ND bias, so confusing.
Will someone please post the rules on this bias stuff.
