The Fighting Irish are coming off a tough battle against Virginia Tech where they squeaked by with 21-20 win at home. Notre Dame was trailing for most of the second half, until 29 seconds left, where Ian Book ran for a seven-yard touchdown to take the lead and win the game. Even though it went down to the final seconds for Notre Dame to win, they almost doubled the Hokies yards, 447 to 236 yards. This was a good sign for the Fighting Irish offense after coming off a tough loss against Michigan to basically ruin their playoff chances. With four games left, Notre Dame looks to finish the season strong against the Duke Blue Devils.
Notre Dame is 6-2 SU, 4-4 ATS and 5 of their 8 games have hit the under.

Duke Blue Devils:
The Blue Devils have had an up and down season. They started off with a beat down from Alabama losing 42-3 and then won their next 3 before losing to Pitt when their 20 point fourth quarter fell just short to lose 33-30. After that, they have been 1-2. Now, they are looking to get back on the winning track after dropping their last two games to Virginia and North Carolina. This game doesn’t have much meaning since the Fighting Irish left their playoff hopes in Ann Arbor so the true question is, will Duke show up to defend their home turf?
Duke is 4-4 SU, 4-3-1 ATS and 6 of their 8 games have hit the over.
The Lines:
Vegas started this week with the Fighting Irish as 6-point favorites and the over/under set at 53. With these lines, Vegas predicted Notre Dame to win 30-24. These lines have since changed shifting it to a lower scoring game and in the Fighting Irish favor. Currently, the lines are Notre Dame as 8-point road favorites and the over/under set at 51. The current lines are saying that the Fighting Irish will win this game 30-22. Also, 79% of the public and 88% of the money is on Notre Dame, therefore the lines changed to the Fighting Irish being favorites. As for the over/under, 53% of the public is on the under and 54% of the money is on the under, causing the total to shift from 53 to 51.
Bet of the Week: (Notre Dame -4.5 First Half)
This week will be a toss-up to see how both teams perform. Notre Dame has been struggling ever since Michigan and the Blue Devils are on a two-game skid. Duke likes to play their opponents tough at home so 8-points might be a little too high for the Fighting Irish on the road. I like Notre Dame coming out of the gate hot this game with the defense making it tough for Duke to score. If there was one bet for this week’s game, it would be for Notre Dame to cover the first-half spread of -4.5. I don’t see this line moving too much but don’t touch this if it gets over 5.5.
