Notre Dame is currently waiting on three recruits to make their college decisions with safety Byron Moore being one of them. Moore recently decommitted to USC and was scheduled to visit LSU this weekend. Moore will now visit Colorado instead and then make his college decision next Wednesday on Signing Day. Moore’s announcement will be televised live on ESPNU’s Signing Day Show at 10:00 AM EST (7:00 AM PST)
ESPNU will have nine hours of recruiting coverage next Wednesday, February 4 kicking off at 7:00 AM (PST). The show will start with a bang as defensive back Byron Moore (Harbor City, Calif./ Narbonne) will make his college selection.
“Byron is going to start the show off by announcing his decision,” Moore’s father Byron Sr. said. “I’m not going to say where he’s leaning or anything like that, you’ll just have to tune in at 7:00 in the morning and find out.”
Am I reading too much into this or does anyone else think that its a good sign for Notre Dame that he will be making his decision at 10:00 AM local time for Weis and staff while it’ll be 7:00 AM for the USC staff and 8:00 AM for the Colorado staff? (Note: I am probably reading too much into that at this time, but we sure could use some good recruiting news for this class so why not?)
With the loss of Marlon Pollard and Nyshier Oliver (who could have played defensive back if needed) Moore became an even more important recruit for the Irish. Since he decommitted to USC so recently and just started showing interest in Colorado let’s hope that means good things for Notre Dame.
Fingers crossed for Moore, Te’o and Starling, whom Weis made an in house visit to last night.
