Julian Okwara, the brother of current rising senior defensive end Romeo Okwara, has trimmed his college choices to five schools and Notre Dame has made the cut along with Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, and Ole Miss.
Okwara, like his brother, is considered a weak-side defensive end for Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte. He announced his finalists over Twitter.

247 Sports gives Okwara a composite 4-star rating with an overall rank of 184 and a position rank of 11th nationally. Currently the 247 Sports Crystal has Notre Dame listed as 100% with all predictions pointing to the Irish currently.
Prior to trimming his list to five schools, Julian Okwara had picked up offers from Boston College, North Carolina, NC State, Pitt, Virginia Tech, Virginia, and West Virginia in addition to his five finalists.
While the younger Okwara plays the same position as his older brother, one difference between the two is in their age relative to their class. Romeo Okwara reported to Notre Dame very young for a freshman and played as a 17 year old true frosh for the Irish in 2012. Julian Okwara has already turned 17 and turn 19 before the end of his freshman year of college.
At 6-4, 220 lbs, the younger Okwara still has a lot of room to grow before he is the size of a college ready weak-side defensive end but he’s got the frame to accommodate the additional weight needed.
Okwara picked up a Notre Dame offer last month before making an unofficial visit for Junior Day. While there Okwara posted a great picture of himself with the Play Like a Champion Today sign.
