Malik Zaire’s first career start has started with touchdown drives on two of the first three offensive drives of the game for the Fighting Irish. Watch both plays below as the Irish and Tigers battle back and forth in the Music City Bowl.
Zaire marched the Irish down the field on the game’s first drive that he capped off with a 12 yard touchdown pass to Will Fuller. The touchdown was Fuller’s 15th of the season which ties him with Jeff Samardzija and Golden Tate for the single season Notre Dame record with 15.

Two drives later Zaire was back at it with a 7 yard touchdown run after Everett Golson entered the game for a few snaps. Unfortunately Notre Dame was not able to keep the lead either time and the Irish with LSU returning the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown.

Great win!!!
No moral victory!!!
Great way to end the year!!!
GO IRISH IN 2015!!!
Hurrah!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, Les, for not going for it! I’d bet the LSU O would’ve picked up 2 yards easy against the ND D. A 40 yard FG for LSU is less certain than making a 4th and 2 for their O.
Way to go Les!
Let’s go on an 8 minute TD drive and hope the D can make a stop!
Go Irish!
ND can’t stop LSU offense without a middle linebacker. Morgan has been out of position or blocked all day.
How can you not expect a fake on that FG?!
