Highlights From Notre Dame’s Defensive Clinic Versus Virginia
Things did not look good for Notre Dame at half-time of yesterday’s 35-20 victory over Virginia. The Irish trailed at half-time while Bryce Perkins was dropping dimes into incredibly tight windows and his receivers were making textbook catches. The Notre Dame defense came alive in the second half though on their way to racking up eight sacks and producing five turnovers. Led by captain Julian Okwara, who registered his first three sacks of the season, the Irish defense led the way as the offense struggled once again this weekend.
We’ll have a lot more on this one throughout the day, but for now enjoy the highlights of Notre Dame’s defense harassing Perkins into turnover after turnover in the second half.
The defense played as if possessed……offense and special teams utterly useless.
