This was finally the first game I was able to see on TV this season since it was on a regional sports network. Because my cable carrier does not carry the ESPN/ACC Network not only could I not see the earlier ND/UNC game or the Toledo nailbiter, but now I can’t even see games on the ACC Network Extra anymore. Boo!
But anyway, this was a good win, but the main concern I have is they had one of those dry spells where they couldn’t hit the basket. That was a huge issue last year. They’d make a game of it for a while then go through these long scoring droughts that were extremely costly. Against F.D. it didn’t matter, but against teams coming up like Maryland or Indiana (or the ACC contests of course), that can’t happen or we’ll be looking at another losing campaign.
I hope that’s just a one game thing. As I said, it was the first game I was able to actually see on TV, but it was something I picked up on and hope it’s not a sign of things to come.
